Travel Award

Purpose

In recognition of the importance of academic exchange, our conference will select distinguished early career investigators from outside of China who would benefit from attending the Annual West China International Forum for Schizophrenia Research. Priority will be given to applicants from less developed and less well-funded countries. These awards are supported by the conference committee.

Each travel award includes:

· 2000 RMB to help defray the travel and living cost to attend the Annual Meeting

· Waived registration fee for attendance at the annual meeting

· Presentation of an oral abstract at the meeting (required)

Eligibility:

· Applicant is within 5 years of completing their terminal research degree or within 5 years of completing their medical residency at the time of application.

· Academic faculty with rank higher than “Associate Professor” (or equivalent) are not eligible to apply.

· Up to 10 candidates may be selected for the awards.

Application Submission Instructions:

· A letter of nomination by the Department or faculty mentor is required.

· A biosketch (preferred) or short curriculum vita not to exceed four pages is required.

· A one-page statement of career interests and objectives describing how attendance of meeting will facilitate achieving your goals.
